        I take this wherever I go, it's perfect for travelling. The sound quality is probably the most impressive thing about it so if you want something compact but with a serious amount of sound, these are the portable speakers for you. I'd say you'd be hard pushed to find better than this for the price. You can control your ipod without taking it out through the transparent film, handy, and don't need to worry about battery life, the rechargeable battery pack gives you a good 10 hours plus. I'm still blown away by the sound, as I say, it won't disappoint on that score.

          I used this on an 8 day cycling tour. Eliminates the use of ear phones which shouldn't be used on a bike anyway. Great sound. Long battery life.

              I use this stereo mostly for skateboarding. It's loud enough as long as you stay in a small radius of the stereo, this is mostly because of how loud skateboarding is. But I also use it around the home and at work, and it's perfect, loud, compact and long battery life. Can't speak about durability, I have only had it for a few months.

                I have built a couple homemade portable amplifier speaker boxes for my city commuting. The last one flew off my bike and was destroyed. Trying to stay lightweight, I always had trouble getting the proper amplification to be loud enough to overpower downtown traffic. I was skeptical about this box but WOW. The sound is amazing. It is definately loud enough to hear over the truck and bus traffic downtown. The bass is remarkable for such a small unit. The first day I brought it to work I sold three co-workers on it by cranking it up. They said they were getting one right away. Go get one of these if you like to listen to music while riding your bike or skateboard. Much safer than headphones.
