The bag design is great, what I loved the most was the flexibility of the fabric and its durable quality. I used this as my new carry-on bag for travel and for toting stuff when I arrive at my destination. I like that the velcro closure held well and was in a good position, the compartments were just what I needed and I was able to store and retrieve things easily. The shoulder strap is the most comfortable I have ever had on a bag and I have had a lot of different kinds of bags. Very pleased I got this bag.

Good capacity and very comfortable. I have the Flapjack backpack and I've loved it so I decided to get the messenger to mix it up a little.

I mostly use this for commuting to work but I occasionally take it on a ride. I haven't had any issues with the bag sliding around and it conforms to the back very nicely.

The bag carries two laptops and a few notebooks without any fuss and it never feels very heavy. There is a pocket on the front under the flap and another on the side of the pack that is very handy for those who sling it over their left shoulder. Why they couldn't do both is beyond me but it works perfectly for how I carry it.

The laptop section in the bag is not extremely padded but I honestly prefer this. It has just enough that items in the bag don't bang the laptop around but at the same time, it does not feel bulky.

I have to say that while the material feels a little less durable than that from Timbuk2 and other more cycling-oriented bags, I've owned and used the backpack daily for a year and it still looks brand new. I have no concerns about this bag whatsoever.

I recently had my Osprey Astro stolen. I loved that back, it was as perfect as a bag could be. I replaced it with Osprey's new flapjack. It just arrived today. I was ver disappointed. There is very little padding in the laptop compartment, I feel like I ought to go buy a sleeve to protect the laptop. I also would've liked an outer pocket for tickets and things when I travel. To top it off the fabric has some weird print. If I didn't have to travel tomorrow, I'd return it and track down the previous version of the bag. Osprey's products are pretty well made, so I guess I'm stuck with this for quite a while...
