It fits those uses perfectly and I very easily suits the needs of an insulating layer in cool temps in the backcountry. -

Read More This jacket is a great under shell item for So Cal. It's not heavy or too thick thus making it NOT too hot. I ware it in the mornings when its cold with nothing but a t-shirt under when the temps range from 55-75. I'm 5'11" 190 lb. and the large fits well, the cuff and collar material is amazing but attracts lint in a bad way. The jacket could use a chin guard for the zipper but I don't wear it all the way up so its not much of a problem. The black and grey look great with jeans if you are going for the causal look. This is in my top three mid layer of all time, forget TNF and Mountain Hardware; Arc'teryx takes the cake. 1 stitch for every 1/16th of an inch is super strong. -
Dec 28, 2011Great light weight 1/4 zip fleeceI love this pullover. It doesn't fit too tight, and it's versatile.
