Comments about Arc'teryx Rush Shell Jacket - Men's:
Pros: To answer the negative hype over the newer Arc'teryx technical shells being "Made in China", I truly find no difference between the manufacture quality of this Rush Jacket (Made in China) vs my Theta AR (Made in Canada). I waited to write this review after a weekend of skiing on piste at Stowe Mountain in Vermont, and this shell was rock solid windproof, waterproof, and abrasion resistant. I felt no wind or chill at -7'C, running this shell over an EMS 800fill Sector Down jacket and 2 base layers. The Gore-tex ProShell was solidly rugged against ski edges, trees, rocks (experienced a few spills). The goggle pocket was just the right size, and the upper left arm pocket was perfect for RFID lift pass (also a sewn in RECCO locator there). Hoody was large enough for my Giro G10MX helmet.
Cons: The Price and Color Availability (only a few stores carry certain colors like Blaze). There are probably technical shells with Gore-tex Pro-Shell that run a tad cheaper than $550. Fortunately, REI was generous with a %25 off coupon.

Comments about Arc'teryx Rush Shell Jacket - Men's:
It's phenomenal. Outstanding. Tremendous. I wear a thin down jacket under when its cold, and just a t-shirt under that and no problems. Sheds water like an angry duck. Hood is great and the first one that I've had that you can truly adjust around your head and face so it doesn't flop over your eyes or blow off your head.

Comments about Arc'teryx Rush Shell Jacket - Men's:
If you want a technical shell that fits perfectly then go for it if you can afford it. I am 5'11 and 165 and wear small. I can run three layers under with my first accent down vest. At only 18.5 ounces I can use this all 4 seasons. Why buy 4 jackets, no need now. This is not an insulated jacket, or warm, it is a technical shell. Don't even look at it if you aren't active in life. But if you are then you are looking in the right place. Best of all the Arcteryx jackets for many reasons, try them all on and decide, I did.
