Comments about Old Town Dirigo XT 120 Kayak:

My parents bought my wife and I a set of these as a wedding present. (We have at least one model back from this current model.) We have used them for several years and really enjoy it, typically on Lake Austin. The only cons are that the seat can be hard to get in a comfortable position, and actually snap out of the placement you had chosen. It is near impossible to re-adjust once you are out on the water, so that can then make for a comfortable ride. Adjust it on land and pretend-paddle a bit to make sure you are comfortable, and check that everything is as snug as possible.
The other con is moving it around. It is only 55 pounds or so but is fairly awkward as the width is just wide enough to make it hard to grip around the middle from your shoulder, meaning that you really need two people to move each one around despite the relative light weight. If you want to be a solo traveler, you might want to find something even smaller and lighter.
