The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Perception Tribe 9.5 Sit-On-Top Kayak:
First kayak purchase and was very impressed by the helpful support by the REI Staff. Purchased the kayak because of its stability and the bow which allowed a place for my 2-yr. old grand daughter to sit. She can move back and forth in the kayak without any problems....no tipping. Although, the boat is not as fast as most, it is fast enough for us and seems to track fairly well--especially after I went back and exchanged for a longer paddle.....beginner's mistake. We have been having a blast, and we now love kayaking and REI!!

Comments about Perception Tribe 9.5 Sit-On-Top Kayak:
We are women in our mid and late 60's and absolute love these kayaks. We find for a small kayak they track well, very stable and move very easy thru the water. We travel with them and average going out 2 or 3 times a month. We prefer flat water and enjoy bird watching.

Comments about Perception Tribe 9.5 Sit-On-Top Kayak:
This is a great kayak for kids and it's best use is on a river (Class II or less) or at the beach. You can use it at the lake for short distances, but rowing a short kayak is somewhat of a chore. I weigh 180 and the kayak works ok for me because you have to row a lot to travel a little.
Other positives: it fits in vans, or pickup beds and it's super stable. However, if you are an adult and want to travel across the lake, you should move up to the 11.5 foot model.

Comments about Perception Tribe 9.5 Sit-On-Top Kayak:
Love the Kayak, has allowed us access to places we would of never considered going until now. We purchased two of them and love the idea of not needing gas easy to transport(Back of my 6 1/2 pickup box.)No trailers or waiting at boat ramps, just unload put in and go. Amazed at how stable and fast they are. we actually paddled up stream for about 2 hrs (Minimum current on river) and just floated back down stream, this eliminates the need to spot your vehicle at the finish point. We researched all the kayaks in this price range and are convinced we made the perfect choice for us. We are in our late fifties and are physically fit and recommend this kayak for all age groups interested in trying something new and exciting.
