Comments about My Alibi Bloomers:
I'm a senior just getting back into cycling after some 30 years. I really don't see myself in spandex shorts, but frankly, riding without padding is uncomfortable, even for my 10 mile rides. These bloomers let me ride in street clothes, which really makes me feel less conspicuous as I ease myself into a new sport! I've found that if I wear these under non-spandex items, I slip less on the seat, and I appreciate that as well.
I have to say that I prefer to put these on in the dark and/or far away from a mirror! Perhaps young women with figures like fashion models would find the fit flattering. I find they bunch up in the leg and overall do nothing for my figure. Fortunately, the fit of the underwear does not in any way interfere with its functionality and no bunching shows up under street clothing. They are easy to launder and comfortable to wear. I consider them a wise purchase.

Comments about My Alibi Bloomers:
These bloomers are PERFECT to slip on under a dress/skirt/pants to make your ride more comfortable. They're so comfortable I can't even tell I'm wearing them while I'm riding. They're not noticeable under your clothing either (just enough padding to not be obnoxious!) which is nice when I ride to class, work or even just to meet friends. These are for longer rides though, when you really need the padding (but I still like to wear them everywhere!) I'm between a 4 and a 6 so I went with the 6 but I found them all to be true to size.

Comments about My Alibi Bloomers:
It's about time someone made some cute, functional, and feminine cycling shorts! These bloomers have the perfect amount of padding. They have a great waistband - lowrise and no tight seams - very flattering. These shorts go great under skirts, dresses, and pants for touring and everyday commuting to work and school. They are very cute by themselves, and their lightweight material is perfect with a cute tank top for those blistering hot summer days. I was given these bloomers as a gift and LOVE them. I finally feel like a "pretty pretty lady" while still wearing functional cycling shorts!

Comments about My Alibi Bloomers:
This is a product review for My Alibi Bloomers.
The bloomers are intended to be worn under another clothing item - they should feel like underwear (see other review that seems confused on this point). I have worn the bloomers under: jeans, skirts, knickers, exercise pants - pretty much anything in my wardrobe that I would normally wear for a casual ride.
I typically wear these on errand/casual rides up to 25 miles. When I ride over 25 miles, I wear the classic bike shorts/knickers/pants. I have worn the bloomers on the east and west coast, in temperatures hovering around freezing (yes, layered), the rainy pacific NW, the humid east coast summers, etc. - overall these work well in all of these weather conditions.
The major upside of the bloomers is they can be worn under items you already have in your wardrobe - so consider this factor in the cost of the item. In my experience with women's cycling clothes, much of the stylish and functional wearability is traded-off for in technical performance. Here, I think these have an excellent balance for the uses I have described above. The padding is adequate (where often in the stylish cycling clothes the padding is non-existent). I do not find the padding bulky or bunchy and again, fits under everything in my wardrobe that I would wear on a casual (<25 mile ride). This is a major upside for me - I often ride in street clothes.
As for fit of the bloomers - I am 5'7"/140 - I am not particularly curvy in my mid-section. The size 4 bloomers fit great. I typically wear a 4 in jeans, slacks, and skirts. In cycling clothes I wear small or medium bottoms. If you are curvier in your hips/thighs, I think these would still work very well due to the nature of the fabric and design of the bloomers. As for overall 'feel' - yes, I am wearing a padded bike short, but they feel great. You can also find them in more feminine colors, just FYI.
As for care and durability - I wash these and hang them to dry - just like all my bike shorts. The bloomers are well-made and durable and definitely in my drawer of cycling staples.

Comments about My Alibi Bloomers:
There was nothing wrong with these, other than I felt like I was wearing underwear, not shorts. I sent them back and bought some 3/4 length pants. Guess I'm just not the type to bike in my undies. I sat on my bike with them however, and they were very padded and comfy. I could have worn them under something less revealing, but I opted to go a different route.

Comments about My Alibi Bloomers:
My Alibi Bloomers are great from the inside out and from the outside in. Not at all bulky, they're easy to wear with anything and feel comfy all day. I've used my bloomers for a couple of years now, and they're so well-made that they still look new. While I love to ride, I'm not a fanatic, and somehow I just feel very pretty and feminine wearing My Alibi Bloomers.
