Comments about REI Snowy Creek Fleece Jacket - Toddler Boys':
This is just great! If you are turned off by the price just look at a comparable North Face, Columbia etc. jacket. You will get a thinner fleece with a catchy name, or logo, that will cost almost the same but give you allot less for your money! I am father writing this who researches everything before he buys it, and for the price this is very hard to beat! I even got it just a little bigger so my little boy should get two years out of it, and then We will give it to some one in need at the time.

Comments about REI Snowy Creek Fleece Jacket - Toddler Boys':
This jacket is fantastic. Our son(now 3) has grown through two and we are getting ready to buy a third. This jacket has been great for fall and spring in Wyoming and Montana. Now that we live in Pennsylvania and have much milder weather, it also makes it through much of the winter. It's great on cool days, VERY water resistant, and seems to keep the wind out. Very well made. Ours have been through lots of wear and still look brand new. They make great hand me downs.
The hood isn't real tight around the face, but is such high quality fleece that it doesn't seem to be an issue. 45 mph winds and 40 degrees outside and his little ears are still warm when we come in. Also, this jacket runs a little big, which is great. He wore his 12 month one until he was almost 18 months. We replaced with a 2T. We needed to roll up the sleeves, but he has just now grown out of it nearing 3 years old and wearing a 4T in everything else. We plan to buy a 4T and expect it to last through at least next fall. And it's so soft. He loves rubbing the inside on his cheek. :)
Amazing REI. As long as you continue to carry this jacket, we will continue to return to you for our jackets for the kiddos.

Comments about REI Snowy Creek Fleece Jacket - Toddler Boys':
I bought this for my 2.5 year old based on LOVING last year's model of the same fleece jacket. This year, the seams have a ribbon covering that is really scratchy, though the rest of the jacket is very soft. My son complained about the scratchy seam when I made him try it on the first time.
Adults wouldn't put up with anything scraping at the back of their necks. You can bet a kid would have even less tolerance. I'm sending this one back.

Comments about REI Snowy Creek Fleece Jacket - Toddler Boys':
I bought two of these jackets based on good reviews and the sale price and I haven't been disappointed. Both my sons have heavier jackets, but the zipper broke on one and my 18 month old absolutely hates wearing his bullkier jacket.
What appealed to me about this jacket is that it looked like it would be warm but not bulky. And there were two colors perfect for my two boys.
My three year old (~ 39 inches, 36 pounds) can put this on himself and he really likes how soft it is. He's wearing a 4T; it fits perfectly, though the sleeves are a bit long but easy to roll up. A nice, unusual problem for my long armed boy.
My 18 month old (~ 32 inches, 28 pounds) is in the 2T. He doesn't balk at wearking a coat now which has made leaving the house much more pleasant. I've had to roll the sleeves up on his as well, but he's always been chunky so that is normal. His belly pretty much fills up the waist without much room to spare, but the trimness is nice.

We got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. He has a heavier winter jacket that he didn't like wearing--I think it's too stiff for him, though it's very warm. He loves this coat and never fusses when we have to put it on. He collects rocks when we go for walks and the pockets are easy for him to access--and I don't have to carry them anymore! We got it in green and love it. It fits great and seems to be high-quality.

Comments about REI Snowy Creek Fleece Jacket - Toddler Boys':
I bought this for my 1 1/2 yr-old son about a month ago and it seems very comfortable for him while out & about in Seattle. It's warm, but not too bulky, which is great because he just started walking so the more natural he feels in it, the better. He's fallen a few times and was able to get back up on his own. Because it has a very soft lining, it looks like it provides a little padding as well for those unexpected stumbles.
It's easy to roll up the sleeves too if they're a little too long for your child. The hood is cozy, especially for walks in the stroller.
I also bought the REI Timber Mtn jacket to go over this when it's really cold or rainy/snowy but haven't needed it yet because the fleece does really well on its own.
There's also a nice little flap that goes over the zipper at the top to protect his face.
