Comments about Freestyle Response Touch Screen Watch:
The watch is pretty much as represented on the web site. However, I ordered from REI on-line and it arrived without instructions. There was the paper with the warranty information but the spot in the base of the case for instructions was empty. Called REI and they told me to look on FreeStyles website. The watch does not appear anywhere on their web site (Aug. 31, 2012) and on the support page the watch is not listed where PDF manuals can be downloaded. This leaves me wondering if I just paid full price for an obsolete model? The basic features I can figure out without the manual -the one exception is how to tell it I am done setting the time - no matter what I push, it just keeps blinking. If I wait long enough, it gets out of set mode on its own. The touch screen is fine so far. The numbers are blocky as shown in the picture, but the watch is big enough that it is readable. It is a big watch. The stop watch does no appear to have a lap feature, but the count down timer does have a repeat feature. I have hopes this will be a keeper.I was hoping this was made in Japan, but it is made in [*]. Bummer.
