The men's North Face WindWall 2 fleece jacket drastically reduces the effects of chilling wind and traps body heat to help keep you warm.
- WindWall™ 2 is made from 200-weight fleece and drastically reduces the effect of windchill on cold, windy days; ideal insulation when layered
- WindWall 2 fleece fabric blocks around 95% of the wind while still allowing enough airflow to ensure a dry, comfortable fit
- Abrasion-resistant panels on shoulders, sides and arms provide extra durability and a touch of contrast from the body of the jacket
- WindWall 2 features a gridded fleece liner for even greater insulation and utilizes a unique fabric-bonding process that allows a limited degree of external air permeability
- Features brushed collar lining, elastic-bound cuffs and a drawcord hem
- Features 2 zippered hand pockets and a Napoleon chest pocket
- Standard fit ensures freedom of motion

Bought this jacket a year ago, after looking for a lightweight fleece for all-around cool weather wear (yes, it gets cool in Hawaii) and while traveling. Jacket is perfect in all respects. Lightweight and easy to toss into a duffel, backpack or luggage. Windproof against blustery weather. Waterproof against a light drizzle.
I have received numerous comments on its simple, but complimentary style, even on my less than perfect physique.
Easy to care for. Just toss in the washer and hang to dry, which it does in no time. No pilling after numerous washes and unlike most fleeces, it does not pick up lint. Absolutely no signs of wear after all this time. Best light jacket I have ever owned, period!

I got this jacket for my husband. It looks really good on him, the fit is perfect. The fabric feels great, I can feel how it will block wind better than a regular fleece jacket (wind blows through). I had to run & buy powder detergent, because on the North Face website, under "product care" they recommend using powder instead of liquid, so it won't "leave a residue on your jacket that will interfere with the DWR performance". After the first wash (rinse twice)& hang to dry, it looks great!

I have the Windwall 1 in red and I really liked it, but red does not go with "business attire". I got the Windwall 2 in the Black and Grey so I could wear it both casual and business. Since it is more windproof than the Windwall 1, it is not as soft or pliable, but still comfortable none the less.

The design, materials and workmanship are typical TNF. The fit is more of an athletic cut and very stretchy in the arms. I'm 6' 165lbs and the medium was a perfect fit. I've been wearing the Windwall 2 with just a midweight base layer and have been warm down to 25 degrees while hiking or taking landscape photos. The fleece has a tighter weave and blocks the wind and sheds snow or rain for quite awhile depending on intensity. Three pockets are generous enough to accomodate most daily items and are stitched real well. The collar is at home folded down or straight up especially when the weather turns nasty.
For most aerobic activities the jacket will keep you warm and confortable to about 25 degrees. Since there are no pit zips to dissipate excess moisture it is advisable to zip down your jacket. Below that I suggest heavier base layer or a lightweight shell like the North Face Venture jacket.
It doesn't pack down as small as some other fleece jackets but it is the one garment i reach for most of the time. And its not too shabby styling wise either.

Moving from CA to CO, I was hit hard by the change in weather, to say the least.
The normal gear that I had for hiking in CA wasn't going to cut it. The local REI in Denver was my first stop and it's where I picked up this particular jacket.
Comfortable, lightweight and surprisingly a great solution to the wind chills here. This is a great addition to any person for any time. Casual enough to throw on for a quick outing or a decent looking jacket to wear over a sweater during those extra cold days. This won't disappoint.

I picked up mine in black/grey using my REI dividend when it was on sale a couple year ago, making it nearly free for me. I have to say that this jacket is great for nearly everything I throw at it. Room to layer and when not layered, the drawstring makes a perfect fit within seconds. It's not a lightweight jacket, but it's not heavy either. I use it for around town, sporting events, and snowshoeing in the winter and am always comfortable. I use it for everything except multi-day backpacking trips. Probably my most versatile jacket.
