The GT Stomper 20 in. boys' bike boasts a 75mm suspension fork and sturdy construction to help young ones develop their riding skills, be it on the trail or around the park.

  • Frame is constructed with 6061 aluminum for lightweight handling and durable performance; sloped top tube accommodates a short stand-over height
  • SR Suntour M 2000 suspension fork features a cushy 75mm of travel, making it more than ready to take the jolts out of bumps, roots and the like
  • Drivetrain provides 7 speeds to help conquer hills and cruise on flat trails
  • Shimano Revo twist shifter allows hands to remain positioned on grips while changing gears
  • Tektro linear-pull brakes offer reliable stopping power; brake levers are sized for small hands
  • Kenda ATB dual-purpose dirt/street tires provide a stable ride at slow speeds and are just as suited for riding hardpack trails as they are an asphalt path to school
  • Specs on the GT Stomper 20 in. boys' bike are subject to change

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Contact your nearest REI bike shop for details and an appointment for this important service.

Comments about GT Stomper 20" Boys' Bike - 2011:

Bought the 2009 model three years ago, and from start, my kid loved it for being light, and very easy to step on. Previous bike was a steel bike, that was heavy and using it was a pain (made him quit pedaling uphill...)
Loved the fact I could add a kickstand, and the seat goes realy low. Now he grew up a little, still a lot of room to raise the seat and the handlebar. Until last summer we had only street riding, but this summer went on light trails, and kid has a blast with this bike. The gear shifting seems very easy, we had to go only once (last month) to adjust the derailor (not bad for a dropped god knows how many times bike). We enhanced the seat with a gel cover, and added a bell. Happy biking!
