Comments about ALPS Mountaineering Double-Wide +20 Sleeping Bag - Special Buy:

It does not say this in the marketing/description, but you can split this into two 20 degree rated bags!

It is a nice, queen size sleeping bag for two. We were comfortable down to about 40 degrees, but would like to see it go way down in temps to really try it out. Looks like we can cinch it closed nicely for the nights that get really cold and you want to keep the cold air out.

Really thrilled that you can split it into two bags as we were not expecting that feature.

Cons: the bag packs surprisingly bulky and I have not been able to put it away in its factory compression sack since I took it out. Disappointing that it is not easy to pack up, but this is the predicament you run into with sleeping bags . . . especially if they are double bags!

For packing, the bag does have some cinch straps to help close/pack it up, and the compression sack has a nice system to help keep it down to a modest size, but it is only helpful if you can get it into the sack.

I imagine it is possible to take the bag, split it into two, and pack it for backpacking, but it doesn't seem to be designed for this.

Nice bag all around for car camping, comfort camping.
