I purchased this in the beginning of the summer looking for a deal in a hurry because I was to begin guiding backpack trips in the Sierra Nevada and I had been borrowing other's pads all year. This pad is great because of what you get for such a deal. It's thick and warm, easily self-inflates after the first few times.
However, de-inflating it is extremely difficult and frustrating because of the thick foam cell inside. It also is absolutely giant and ridiculous looking when attached to the side of a pack. And now I am returning it because the valve no longer locks which means a puffed up pad when it's all wrapped up as well as a flat pad when you wake up in the morning. Good thing it lasted me throughout the summer, it was a good pad.

I se this product on The AT. I have used it in all four seasons and it has performed flawlessly! I have NOT used it on snow, but have used it when the nighttime temps were below 20 and the ground was frozen and I was warm all night. I am 5'10" and 186 lbs. I bought the "regular" and it has worked great for me.
I do give a few extra puffs to fill it tight before closing the air valve.
My only gripe is that it does not pack small.
I highly recommend this product!
