          Honestly, I'm not sure how this product hasn't been recalled. I've had it for about 3 months and there's been about 6-10 times where keys have literally shot off the keyring and other 5 or so times when I notice that a certain key is missing and have to look all over for it.

          The last straw was going to the gym and then realizing my hard token for logging into my company's network was missing. I luckily found it next to my car, but this thing just doesn't want to hold onto keys.

          One star - terrible product.

          As others have noted, the daughter clips tend to pop off in your pocket or purse. I bought this for my girlfriend and she lost her house key when it detached spontaneously. The s-biner stayed on the key, but detached from the Nite Ize keychain. She was lucky to find it the first time it fell off. The second time it was the same key, and she lost it for good.

          At first we thought it was a fluke, but our neighbor also owns this and had the same experience.

          the problem with a key ring that goes not actually hold onto keys is that you end up inconvenienced at best, and stranded at worst.

          Save yourself. If you don't have one of these, don't get one. If you do have one of these, *get something else*. Now. (Better to spend $1 on a new key ring than $200 on a new car key.)

          I suppose a pair of them would make nice earrings.

            I hate to be the total opposite of the other review.

            If you need to separate your keys,i.e. home, office, car, shed, these are GOOD. I tried using them for everyday, multiple key use. They break easily. The key attachments are plastic, but worse the small hook that grabs the metal hinge is flimsy and short. If a key wedges onto it, broken and IF you notice your key is missing you are lucky.
            Get one, put your spare on it, lawn mower key, shed key, etc... then put it in a drawer.

                i like being able to separate my work keys from home keys, or take my house keys away from my car keys if i need to run back in for something. problem solved. i have other nite ize products - the little headphone wrap dude, and have him attached to this as well. i used to use a carabiner but after too many instances of other keys slipping off the carabiner - I had enough. Buy one now!
                the only thing is i wish on the main part, there was a little built in light to see better..but i'm looking into getting one that will just hook on.
