Comments about CamelBak CamelBak Fairfax Hydration Pack - 50 fl. oz.:

I use this for ultra running events and training, and its just the right size in oz (50) to get you from aid station to aid station or back to your car. I can usually run 2 hours even in the summer before needing a refill. Nice space for gels, energy bars and keys. It rides on the shoulders well, and there is no need for a waist belt as it doesn't bounce at all. Perfect overall weight even when full. I have two minor issues with the pack: 1) the reservoir is hard to access at aid stations. I would have preferred the opening be like the classic directly through the pack. 2) When removing the reservoir, pulling out the tube without removing the bite valve is not easy. it has to be threaded through the corner, and the 90 degree valve barely fits.

Overall I am pleased with the pack, its size and minimalist features. Camelbak makes very good products.

Comments about CamelBak CamelBak Fairfax Hydration Pack - 50 fl. oz.:

This pack is what ive been looking for. Ive search all over for a pack to wear while running that would be comfortable and hold the right amount of water. It rides nice, high up on the shoulders with very little movement. I dont use a clip to hold the bite valve in place, the chest strap works just fine for that. I can hear the water sloshing around but after a while I didnt notice it at all. The 50oz bladder was perfect for an hour and twenty minute run.
