All around awful shoe. Sizing way off. Sides at ankle are very hard and unforgiving. What happened Hi-Tec?

nice looking shoe, but sized too small. originally ordered a 9, returned for a 9.5, which are waaay too narrow. 9.5 would probably be long enough. i do like the look of these shoes... oh well :(
i have another pair of hi-tecs that are a size 9 are actually 1/2 a size too big. not very consistent in their sizing. bummer.
