  • SR Suntour XCR fork meets changing needs with 100mm of travel to buffer rough trails and can be locked out for efficient climbing
  • Shimano hydraulic disc brakes grant powerful stopping power and easy speed management in even the wettest trail conditions
  • Shimano Deore rear derailleur and Alivio shifters and front derailleur glide effortlessly through the 27 gears
  • Rigida Taurus rims are laced onto Shimano hubs to keep you rolling right; Schwalbe Black Jack tires supply tenacious traction

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about Scott Aspect 20 Bike - 2011:

This has been a great bike so far this summer. Until today when the lockout was missing when I got to the bottom of a trail.
I'm still not convinced that these Suntour forks are reliable.
I have about 30 miles of downhill and 60 miles of single-track miles on it so far.
Great brakes, shifts great for the level of components. It's not a Genius, but it's much cheaper.
Note to Scott: Let's put on a solid shock.
