I love this skirt. It is great if you like skirts that fit well below the waist (which I do). This definitely sits closer to your hips than your waist. I am 5'11" and about 160-165 pounds. I normally wear an 8 or 10 in skirts depending on the fit. I bought a 10 in this and it is a tiny bit loose (it stretches out a little as you wear it) but I think the 8 would have been too tight. It is very lightweight which is great as I live in a very hot climate. It is very cute and comfortable--I get a lot of positive comments when I wear it. Wish it came in more colors!

This would be my favorite casual skirt if it had a reasonable waist. It isn't built for women who have a waist/hip ratio below 0.9. Without a belt, it falls right off, but smaller size wouldn't get around my hips (I am 5'4, 120 lbs). With a belt, the waist is so cinched it looks silly. I need to wear it with a shirt that is several inches below my waist. Would have returned it if I hadn't spilled something on it the minute I tried it on (d'oh!). Regrettable, it really is a cute and comfy skirt.

This is a very cute skirt. I exchanged for an 8 and it fits perfectly, except the fact that it likes to ride up a lot creating a little pucker at the waist making me look like a have a pooch in my belly. It's really annoying to have to constantly pull the skirt down to where it is supposed to be: low on the waist. I even tried wearing a belt hoping that would resolve the issue, but it didn't. It's a shame because I really love the way this skirt looks on me! I am keeping it because I like it, but probably won't where it very often because of the riding up issue. Otherwise, this would be the perfect casual skirt.

Super cute and I love the fit. I'm athletic (not curvy) and prefer skirts that sit a bit lower on my hips (hate having waistbands around my "true waist"). This skirt looks hip and cute and is comfy. Nice length. Short enough to show off some toned legs but modest enough as well. Love it.

I'm not sure why I thought this skirt would be more of a hiking skirt, but it definitely isn't. I have a friend with the cutest hiking skirt that I've been coveting forever - so easy to use and hike in. This is NOT that skirt. I'm 5'9" and its too long to hike in because I can't fully step up along a trail when going uphill. I would not recommend it. For daily use, it's average.

I LOVE this skirt! I first bought the olive colored one about a year or so ago then lost a couple pounds and had to get the next size down. With that said...I am more of an athletic shape with smaller hips so more straight up and down not too curvey and that is why this skirt works. it is more boxy shaped so someone with a nipped in or tiny waist will not be able to wear this without issues as stated by so many in other reviews.
My one and only negative thing I can say would be the skirts stretch factor. It stretches out rather easily so will get loose. Aside from that though it is great. Lots of pockets (love cargo styles!)and who doesn't like pockets!?! Also the pockets make you look curvier than you are which I personally love lol. Oh and if you want a look that makes your booty look smaller this skirt is for you! Another bonus is it is soft and super comfy. I wore this camping and until it stretch to where I couldnt wear it I wore it a-lot!
So again if you do not have big hips and small waist ergo NOT so many curves then this skirt is perfect! Oh and I must be wearing this wrong- I wear it up near my actual waist not low on the hips. It doesn't look right on the hips to wear it that way unless I guess one is super skinny...I am only 5' 2.5" so maybe that's why?? Anyways this is a super cute super comfy skirt!

This skirt is super cute and curve hugging. If you are curvy or have ample hips, you may want to try on before you buy, though. I bought a 6 and it seems this skirt is supposed to fit at the hip and it doesn't on me, so I may need to exchange for the 8. Otherwise, I LOVE this skirt!

I LOVE this skirt!!! As an "over 50", stylish gal, I watch the length on skirts. This one is perfect! Since it sits a bit lower on the hips, the length is just above the knee. I throw it on almost daily with a tee shirt, tank top, whatever.... and it looks great! It also looks a bit more stylish than jeans or shorts for the summer for evenings out. I'm even getting ready to order one in the other color.
