Take different routes with the Raleigh Detour 4.5 bike, which features an easy-riding, multipurpose platform so you can run errands, commute and then explore bike paths on the weekends.

Aluminum frame is sturdy and designed for a blend of comfort and efficiency; flat handlebar encourages an upright riding position for great visibility
Shimano crankset and front and rear derailleurs provide easy pedaling and shifting through all 24 speeds; geared for hills as well as flats
Shimano EF-51 EZ-Fire trigger shifters are intuitively easy to use and deliver smooth shifting
Tektro V-brakes provide smooth, responsive deceleration
700c wheels are outfitted with puncture-resistant Kenda tires for excellent rolling performance on bike paths and streets alike
Suspension seatpost offers bump-smoothing comfort for all-day riding; angle-adjustable stem provides fine tunining for fit and comfort
Convenient platform pedals accept most casual shoes
Eyelets accept fenders and rear rack (sold separately)

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about Raleigh Detour 4.5 Bike - 2011:

My previous bike was at least 15 years old and after going around the block, I was totally worn out. I thought it was me; that I was out of shape or worse. LOL NOW, with my new Raleigh Detour I am so HAPPEEEEE!! Riding is once again a wonderful pleasure and I have a hard time getting off the bike once i get on. The endorphins have kicked in too and I feel great!!
