Comments about Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Dog Harness:
I've got a 5 year old Boston Terrier & a 1 year old Schnauzer. This is THE ONLY HARNESS that doesn't rub my Boston's "armpits" raw with extensive use (long walks & in and out of water). We tried 6 other harnesses on him. This is by far the best. Also, with our Schnauzer that had no desire to walk, we used the chest clip to attach the leash to, and it helped make him a great walker.

Comments about Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Dog Harness:
Used everyday safely transports dog.
Easy installation - Slip over head of dog use 2 snap clips then use clip that goes to seat belt to hold and release harness.
Cost is very low considering quality.
So far this is the best harness I have found, strong, easy to put on and off of dog, strap allows dog to stand and laydown on seat but be protected.
The only feature that needs improvement is the snap adjustment on the chest, it keeps coming off but a simple needle and thread solves the problem.

Comments about Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Dog Harness:
Over the years with past and present dogs I have tried several seat belts. As a paramedic and canine safety advocate I have the expectation of one that is comfortable for my dog and is an adequate seat belt. Other brands/styles usually click into our seat belt receptacles and as a dog does the spin and lay down it often gets very twisted up in the belt. Sometimes the dogs leg can dangerously get caught up in the belt. This belt using the tether line to attach to is great, A dog can spin donuts and although the line may twist, the dog is not adversely effected. Just adjust the length so the dog won't hit a windshield with sudden braking. Bonus; the tether line is also a leash and the harness can be left on in place of a collar when walking. My dog hikes in hers all the time, it's been a great handle when rock scrambling.

Comments about Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Dog Harness:
I have a large, rambunctious, 2 yr old black Lab. I have used this item with him in our vehicle, as well as, on 2-3 mile morning walks. It works very well in both capacities. "Rebel" - our Lab - adjusted to wearing this item quickly and he is easy to handle with it. I refrained from 5 stars for two small reasons. 1) The instructions - while explaining how to put on and adjust the harness - have no guidelines as to proper fitting of the harness. 2) The button that attaches the chest piece to the body strap could be more substantial. It tends to unsnap rather easily, causeing the body strap to slide around and up the dog's chest. A better button or attachment method may be in order. Other than these two "concerns/complaints", I have found this to be a very good, well made product.

Comments about Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Dog Harness:
We tried every car harness available from the major pet store chains. Each had faults, most were tricky to get the dogs into, some were heavily padded (not a good alternative for summer travel) and all required the seat belt to loop through the harness itself. We chose the Kurgo because the seat belt strap is easily detached from the harness itself, it is not heavily padded, it is sturdily built and easy to get the dogs in and out of.
