Comments about SureFire E1B Backup Flashlight:
Great balance between brightness, size and battery life. Most of the time i'm using it on low power but having that insane 80 lumens is great. The small size makes it easy to carry in a pocket and out performs lights twice its size. Expensive but well worth it for a high quality USA made product. Buy two

Comments about SureFire E1B Backup Flashlight:
I own this product in black. I also own two other surefire lights which over the years I have carried with me on active duty, through multiple deployments, disaster relief ops and two combat zones. This light is amazingly small, tough and extremely powerful in output. I believe there is a misprint in the description (output should be listed as 110 lumens on high beam!). Unless you are in the military or in law enforcement you may not know that these lights were built as combat tactical lights. Therefore, this is a high quality professional grade equipment item. These lights may also be used for personal defense/safety since the beam is so intense it can momentarily eliminate an attacker's night vision & the butt of the light is strong enough to use against pressure points. The bezel near the lamp is shaped to stop it from rolling when you put it down. The clip allows you to fasten it in either the up or down position, really handy. Also, the batteries for these lights can be expensive (buy them online in bulk) and most Surefire's require two. This particular model has high output while running on only one battery- a big bonus. I am a petite woman who likes to travel efficiently, somehow there is always room for this excellent surefire! Well worth the money. Highly recommend. My husband is always trying to sneak it from me ;)

This flashlight has been in my pocket everyday for over three years. I work at night and love the secure feeling it gives Me. It's bright enough to temporally blind attacker. Just having enough light with you at all times is great! I will always have one!

Comments about SureFire E1B Backup Flashlight:
Surefire lights are super quality and they say they have a no hassle return policy which is assuring. I have owned 2 other Surefire lights and they have performed as good as new over the years. Whereas a few of the Fenix lights I have owned work really well at first, but seem to not hold up as well. My Fenix lights are not as bright as they were when new, even with new batteries. I wish I would have bought all Surefires to begin with. I use this light when walking my dogs...not only to pick up after them in the dark, but also so cars can see me and my dogs. In complete darkness, the beam from this flashlight (when on high mode) is blinding and will illuminate a large backyard. I am considering buying another.

Comments about SureFire E1B Backup Flashlight:
I am a sucker for expensive flashlights and have a drawer full of them. This one gets all the use because it lives in my pocket. I have had it for 1.5 years.
Unlike other aluminum Surefires the surface is smooth to avoid damaging pockets or objects in your pockets. The first push of the tailcap gives you a distortion free beam that lights a 30 foot circle at 200 feet. The next push drops it down to reading and task level.
With moderate use one battery gets me through a weekend campout and the next month of occasional use. Keep 4 spares in your pack in case you have a late night search or evacuation. It will get hot if you keep it on high for extended time but it will still work. Buy batteries in bulk online for about 1.00 each.
It is fun to watch the puzzeled look on people's faces when you light up the night with a flashlight that hides in your hand.
Skip the collection and get one.

Comments about SureFire E1B Backup Flashlight:
This product is small enough to fit enough in a pocket without anyone noticing that your nerdy enough to carry a flashlight. This light is great, compact, and extremaly bright. I use it for everyday carry the only cons are it's expensive along with the batteries. On low which is still sable the battery life is tolerable.
