        Original purchase was for lightweight hikes and daily use. I have used them for long hikes off trail and they performed beyond expectations. A light weight sock that gives heavy weight protection ... no hot spots! Haven't had a wear problem, but they do snag easily. I don't have to change my socks from daily use to hiking. No odor problem either. I'll be taking them on my next backpacking trip.

          These socks are so lightweight, but still provide enough cushion. I wear them with an older pair of Montrail Hardrock trail runners. I recommend also bringing an extra pair (or pairs, if you're backpacking) because I've had a couple develop holes prematurely. The first time that occurred, I decided to bring another type of socks on another backpacking trip. After suffering blisters, I decided it was best just to deal with the lack of durability.

              I use these as a liner sock for hiking and backpacking. Yes, that means I have a 2-layer sock under my regular hiking sock. But after several years of experimenting with various boots, insoles and socks to avoid painful heel blisters, these have really done the trick! Now, even after a week on the trail, rather than just wanting it to end, my feet are ready for more.

              The moisture wicking and durability seem quite good, but as with most thinner socks, sharp toenails can do a number on them.

              The sizing seems pretty accurate, but be aware that the double layer design makes these sock less stretchy than most so be careful putting them on.

              Have been running in these for years with never a blister. Try them - you can't go wrong.

              I've run through creeks & event with totally wet they provide a friction free comfort.

              I've climbed a 14,000 foot mountain using trail runner shoes (not recommended) in the rain with these & had no hot spot or blisters.

              These things are amazing!

              They run just a tiny bit small.
