I have come to expect a certain level of quality from REI gear and apparel over the years. This product falls way short. I have an 8 month old lab who pulls a good amount but nothing out of the ordinary. On the second day of a backpacking trip in the Lost Creek Wilderness the stitching came out of the webbing on the part that holds the ring where you attach the leash. I'm just glad that it wasn't in traffic somewhere or another dangerous spot. Buy a Chaco collar or one from another company.

I have a 120lb. doberman pinscher and he is constantly pulling on the leash. All other leashes I've used (except for Ruff Wear ones and this one) he's managed to get more and more loose as time wore on...to the point where he can twist his head just right when he's pulling and get out of it entirely! This leash won't loosen no matter how much he pulls or tugs at it. In fact, it's kind of hard to re-adjust because of this, but that is definitely something I'm willing to live with! It's very durable and made out of really thick material. This is the best leash I've owned and have had it in daily use for over 3 months and haven't noticed any wear at all! This leash is awesome! And it looks great too! :)
