Totally great bag for every possible use.
I bought specifically to use for the grocery store, which I walk to more often than not.
Would also be great for travel, the library, and any kind of shopping -- from the farmers market to the mall.

PROS:
• Huge capacity!
• This bag is rated for up to a whopping 40 lbs. of contents.
• The fabric has plenty of body so it does not simply collapse on itself, which makes it much easier to fill/load.
• The shoulder strap is nice and wide -- and it is long enough to easily be worn cross-body; both design features help to distribute the weight of contents.
• I'm 6'-1" and the strap is even long enough for me. And, if I want to use it with the strap shortened, I simply tie a knot in it.
• Easily to wash. Dries super fast.
• Cool stats: it's made of 12 (!!!) PET water bottles that will now NOT end up in landfills.
• Super light! And the stuff sack is wonderfully tiny.

All of my bags from various grocery stores have started to fall apart. For me, at least, these are a much better option.

I love these bags -- and I don't typically write online reviews for things.

ONLY CON: Comes in weird colors. I wish I could find the olive-y green like the photo. The muted pumpkin color is okay, but good luck trying to find it, or any specific hue, as colors are listed simply as: 'assorted'.

NOTE TO PRIOR REVIEWER: I think this bag is definitely unisex.

Like the longer length of sling strap - it is long enough to wear diagonally across the body. Purse straps over 1 shoulder never stay put, and I find them annoying. Material is light, but sturdy. Packs very small. Only con – no zipper for security but that would add bulk. But if I am worried about security it is easy to swing the purse in front of my body instead of along the side. Due to its small packed size it is easy to carry along, and at the ready when I want to carry more stuff than my pockets will hold, but do not want to bring a backpack.

I carry this bag in my Camelpack bag I use for walking between college, work, and home. There is just enough space in there for my water system, poncho, lunch, and a laptop. I added this so that when I need to carry additional books too and from the library I do not have to try to balance all of them in my arms. The bag is really strong and can hold a lot of books and it scrunches up into such a tiny size that it fits perfectly in my main pack when I do not need it. However, I don't think it looks manly enough. I picked the sling bag over the regular tote bag because it is easier to carry that much weight over a long distance on my shoulder as opposed to in my hands. But I am a bit worried it may look a bit more like a purse instead of a messenger bag. I am thinking of buying a second bag cutting it up so that I can sew a flap over the top with some snaps or short straps to give it more of messenger bag feel. Other than that though, I think it is a great bag and I have also taken it hiking and camping because it is so portable. It has often come in handy on those trips.
