Comments about SmartWool Tights - Women's:
Was looking forward to enjoying the extra warmth and breathability of the soft merino wool, and they indeed were soft. However, I found myself hiking these up all day long so that they would not end up around my ankles. Smartwool will need to go back to the drawing board...don't let us down (couldn't resist).

Comments about SmartWool Tights - Women's:
Although expensive, I decided to purchase Smartwool tights as I have had great experiences with their products in the past. Even though my height and weight are within the parameters of size medium, they were extremely tight on me and, by the end of the work day, the crotch was half-way down to my knees. Due to REI's generous return policy, I was able to exchange them for a large; however, the large didn't work either. In order to get them pulled up to my waist, I had to pull the heel up to my calf and it almost felt like I had put them on backwards (which I did not). If they didn't fit me, there is no way that a 6'0" 185lb woman could wear these tights as set forth on the packaging. In addition, they snagged twice during my first few hours of wearing them. I expect more from a [$] pair of tights.

Comments about SmartWool Tights - Women's:
These are super tights, they look great under mini skirts and I also wore them hiking in Argentina and they are SUPER warm and do not let wind through. They are thicker than normal tights (sock thick almost), but good enough to wear to work with skirts and I feel just as warm or warmer than if I wore pants. These are great, I would like one in every color.

I live in these tights in the winter under all my skirts, wear them with boots, flats and heels, love them love them love them. Never had any issues with sagging, maybe the other lady got a size too large. Wash well, not itchy, now my daughters are getting them too!!! Love smartwool!!!

I am thin and have small ankles but I still found the size small to fit well without bagging at the ankles. Ofcourse they don't fit as tight as e.g. DKNY nylon tights because they are wool but they have an excellent fit for knit tights. They are much warmer than typical tights so you can wear your skirts and dresses all year.If you are in Wisconson or some other frigid place , you can be even warmer by putting a pair of nylon tights under them.I wish I had discovered them sooner.

Comments about SmartWool Tights - Women's:
How disappointing. I have SmartWool thick socks, running socks and a great SmartWool skirt that I wear at least a few times a week in the winter. Who designed these tights? I am 5'5" and ordered the medium, and I can't pull them all the way up. The feet are shaped, and the heel was at my ankle and I still couldn't get them to stay up.

Comments about SmartWool Tights - Women's:
I ordered a total of 7 tights and returned 5 of them. The two that fit, fit well. Though I had to order, return and exchange several times. I'm a big Smartwool fan, as I have used their baselayers and socks for years, but I was really disappointed with these tights. They need a new manufacturer, since I can't imagine these tights fitting anyone over 5'8" and 135-140 lbs. Even some of the tights I returned had small holes, and size tags were in a different spot for the tights that did not fit. I ordered two medium, none of them fit, then I ordered 3 large, only one of them fit. Then I exchanged for two other large and only one of those fit! These tights are beyond the realm of Smartwool, they need to stick with what they are good at, baselayers and socks.

Comments about SmartWool Tights - Women's:
I purchased the size small in these tights and I am 5'2" and 145lb. The tights fit perfectly and are not too long, which is usually the problem I encounter with tights. They keep me warm and aren't too bulky so I can wear them under pants. I hope they hold up in the wash.

Comments about SmartWool Tights - Women's:
I have always loved all my Smart Wool products. Since getting pregnant, I have needed to start wearing dresses, since my pants are getting snug around the waist, and I wanted to have a warm pair of winter tights of good quality. I was very excited to see Smart Wool even made a tight.
However, much like previous reviewers, the biggest drawback to this product is the completely misleading fit guide. I am 5'51/2" tall and pre-pregnancy weight 125lbs. Current weight 135lb. According to the fit guide I could possibly wear a small, but a medium seemed more appropriate considering my expanding belly.
I was gifted a small originally, which I could only pull up to 6" inches under the crotch. Far too short. But when I exchanged it for a medium, I had to stretch every bit of the material to get it to come all the way up. The pre-made heel was sagging around my ankle. There is no possibly way anyone above 5'6" could wear these comfortably.
Furthermore, the material is very snug, which I actually liked, leading me to give this three stars. Once I got it up, these pretty much stayed in place. And they were quite warm.
All in all, I would recommend these only if you are short and don't mind a snug fit. Tall girls will have to look elsewhere.

Comments about SmartWool Tights - Women's:
I was very eager to get these tights in grey since I've had a pair of brown ones that I've worn every winter for a good 3 or 4 years. I've suffered with the old brown ones having one foot which was pointing the wrong way just because of the style and warmth, and was really hoping that now, several years later, Smartwool would have gotten the fit right. Unfortunately, I had the same experience of other reviewers - totally fit into the size parameters for the large, but when I tried them on I even thought that maybe a size Medium was mislabeled Large. I pulled them up as much as I possibly could and they barely came up to my hips....I am hardly 5'7" so I don't know how Smartwool could label these as fitting someone up to 6'. I may try another pair on just to compare, but based on others' reviews I'm not very hopeful. Really love the Smartwool tights, wish they would get the fit right!
