The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about evolv Elektra Rock Shoes - Women's:
These are the shoes that I learned to climb in, and they were great! They took in mostly indoor climbs and bouldering and even some outdoor climbs and held up better than some other shoes I've observed. I have small girly feet and wear about a 6 in a street shoe, and a 5.5 in these were pretty good. As told they didn't stretch that I noticed, and again as promised I did find them to be fairly comfortable. I love the velcro straps, and I found them to be appropriate for me in performance for learing to climb.
Only downfall? I've heard rumors that evolv makes a smelly shoe, this is true.

Comments about evolv Elektra Rock Shoes - Women's:
Out of four pairs of climbing shoes I have owned over the last four years, these are my favorite. The toebox is not very stiff so they would not be good for lots of trad/crack climbing, but it allows me to feel footholds very well on sport climbs and is great for delicate food placement. The bottoms have very good friction also. The perfect shoe for a petite balancy climber!
The cons - I climbed 2-3 times a week all fall and took these shoes on a 2 week trip to Nevada, to come back in the spring they already had a hole in them. So they do not last very long, but maybe it is just because I climbed a lot. Also I went a size down from my street shoe size (what i usually do) and had no problem all fall in New England, but they did get fairly tight in Nevada under the hot desert sun; something to consider when sizing. May also have contributed to them falling apart quickly - the sole was fine but it was a hole in the toe issue.
re velcro - if you are skeptical about things getting stuck in it, this velcro has held up pretty well even in the mess that is my bag. So it has some good stick to it.
Overall, I loved them from day 1 and will be buying a second pair to replace my worn out ones!

I Climb indoor with these shoes about 3 times a week, and I climb outdoors with them about 2 times a month. They have stood up well. Im very surprised how comfortable they are, even though they are (purposefully) a little small. I also have a very wide foot, and was worried about that, but my feet fit just fine. I think they are a great shoe for starting or intermediate climbers. Love not having laces as well!

Comments about evolv Elektra Rock Shoes - Women's:
Ive only been climbing for a few months, and these are my first pair of climbing shoes. They have been awesome, I ordered my street shoe size, and they fit perfectly.
The only thing is that they have stretched out quite a bit, and then the top part of the shoe (toe area) can't be tightened at all since the velcro straps are further down. But I do climb about 5 times a week so maybe thats why they stretched out so fast. These are great shoes, and I would buy them over and over again if only they were lace ups.

The New Elektra climbing shoes are a miracle in disguise. I am a 14 year old girl who loves to boulder and sprint climb. These shoes are really stable and reliable for any type of indoor or outdoor climb. I ordered these shoes a week ago and I haven't had he chance to use them on an outdoor climb, because live in flat Florida, but I am sure that they would work just fine. I love these shoes and the only con is they are a bit too narrow because all of the other climbing shoe I have owned have been a bit wider, but nothing can change how amazingly AWESOME this shoes are!!!

Comments about evolv Elektra Rock Shoes - Women's:
I climb in these a couple times a week. Great for gym climbing and outdoor single pitches. I love the velcro and being able to take them off when I'm done with a climb. I don't wear these on longer multi-pitch outings though. The only downside is they are stinkier than a lot of other shoes.

I'm new to rock climbing, so I had help with the sizing when buying this shoe. I usually wear a 10 womens, but bought 8.5 womens climbing shoes. So far, they have stretched a little, but not as much as a leather shoe.

Comments about evolv Elektra Rock Shoes - Women's:
I got these shoes because of the velcro option of getting them fast off and on. However, this didn't give me as much options in adjustment and my feet didn't feel as secure. The velcro didn't win me over because I'd rather have the fit.

Comments about evolv Elektra Rock Shoes - Women's:
these shoes are an okay shoe for someone who doesnt often climb....because they wear out really quick, ive had mine for approximatly 6 months and i am buying new shoes already. The shoes stretched a significant amount even though many climbers said that they shouldn't, but they have (many people with the same shoe have the same complaint)...the shoes make your feet smell terrible! and the sole becomes smooth and slippery rather quickly...they are a decent shoe but not for how much I climb

Comments about evolv Elektra Rock Shoes - Women's:
I got the elektras in a half size smaller than my normal shoe size (since evolve claims to work at the street shoe size). I don't have a very narrow foot, but I had way too much velcro trailing (shoe was too wide) and way too much room in the toe box. Toe hooks were near impossible since the extra fabric/rubber bunched on the top of my foot, and it seemed I was slipping off way more small holds than normal. After a few hours in the gym, my foot was sliding in the shoe from sweat. It seems like this shoe would be ok as a beginner/all-around shoe, but it doesn't feel stable on smaller toe-holds. I would recommend that if you do get this shoe, you size down.
