Comments about Patagonia Fiona Parka - Women's:
It's almost not poss that this coat is so light and so warm. I live in north central PA. I still need to take a long walk in it to test it thoroughly, but I've been out and about in temps below 20 degrees F and it's GREAT.
This has 800-fill down (as opposed to other coats with 600-fill), and the higher quality makes a difference - it can be stuffed much less and still be super warm. Check the specs when you're looking at down coats.
ONLY DOWNSIDE is that it's not waterproof, so I'll have to wear a raincoat over it on the worst days. This is actually ok by me b/c I have a raincoat that I love which will fit over this slim fit coat.
Also, I bought the cream color, which I love, but prob more practical to get darker since I'll have to wash mine more often and down is finicky. Always wash it either front-loader, by hand with Woolite, or dryclean. Put in dryer with clean tennis balls or those blue rubber dryer thingys to keep the down fluffy.

I am not so old,Very tall and thin but suffer w/arthritis. Live in the northeast and have been VERY cold in past few weeks 20's 30's and coveting a longer comfy down coat. Tried many and went for this. regretted within the hour. Wind went right through. Is more like a liner, lacks finish details of a real coat. Neck is wimpy, zipper tempermental. [...].

Comments about Patagonia Fiona Parka - Women's:
The coat looks great. The length is perfect. The weight and slim fit can't be beat. But I've worn this coat in 30 - 40 degree weather and I have to say that I'm just not convinced it's level of warmth is [$] of warmth. Needless to say, I'm disappointed. For that kind of money, I should be able to wear a swimsuit under it and be warm. I'm still not sure if I'll keep it.

I am 5'7, 135 lbs. Love this coat-I've had my eye on it for a while. I am often between a small/medium, but this medium is perfect. Love it.
