I bought this hammock to lounge around my back yard.At the end of a hard day.I hang it between 2 trees in the yard,grab a beer,a bag of peanuts,a pillow and my book.Its so comfortable that I fall asleep,my beer gets warm the book goes unread and the squirrels eat my peanuts while I'm sleeping.It stuffs real easily into the built in stuff sack.Mine came with the ropes to hang it which are usually extra.but I didnt need them.I got mine on deal of the day.It would be great for backpacking since its fairly light but I'll probably leave it behind since my pack is heavy enough already..Buy one,you wont regret it..

There was no mention of wether it came with a hanging kit, or not, so I looked at other sites that had the same product. I even looked at the Grand Trunk home site and they all agreed: it comes ready to hang and as a complete kit. Additionally, REI doesn't even have the rope hangers available for sale, which made sense, since it's supposed to be complete, right?Wrong! When I got it, I found no rope hangers included, even though the tag had a diagram of how to assemble everything. [...]

This hammock is very comfortable and I was impressed by the overall design, including the tie downs. However, I weigh 210---it broke. I would highly recommend this hammock; but not for folks over 180lb.
