                honestly, i bought the belt because i thought the buckle was really beautiful. i love silver, and the square shape really works for me. i got the brown leather, which is neither too light nor too dark, in my opinion. the black looks good, too. really, i rarely wear belts at all but have one pair of pants that are too large in the low waist area and fall down. so i treated myself to this belt. it's a perfect jeans belt, just the right width. though it hasn't gotten any abuse, it appears to be solid and well-made (in the US, no less :) keep in mind that you'll probably be wearing the belt at the *low* waist area as most pants don't sit right on your waist. i'm a size 4-6, based on my high waist, but i bought the M size belt because you've got to add a few inches so the belt will sit at least an inch or two below the belly button, as most jeans do.
