The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
I've had a hard time getting this pump to work with presta valves. I can only get a good seal when the tire is flat. If I'm just trying to top off I can't pump any air into it at all, so I have to flatten the tire and then pump all the way up to the desired pressure. Then up around 60 or 70 psi it starts to leak and I have to pump quickly to get up to pressure. It seems to work fine with schraeder valves, but since the bike I ride every day has presta valves, and my primary usage is topping off, it's impractical to fish out the adapter or flatten the tires. This pump is probably fine for low pressure tires.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
Accommodates both major types of valve stems. Pressure reading is very accurate. Attaches firmly and does not leak when pumping. Comfortable and fills tires to high pressure quickly.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
Not sure why all of the complaints about this one. I bought to replace an old Silca track pump because I wanted a little more volume and a better gauge. The gauge is very precise and smooth. The 2-head valve works flawlessly for the past 6 months. Stable base and cool that accessories like a needle adapter for footballs stores in the handle! Pumps fast and strong to 100 PSI (highest I have used for) and probably higher. Great price. It feels a little light and flimsy with some plastic parts and base, but so far holding up to use about 2x per week. I have already recommended to several people. I ride a lot and am pretty picky about stuff but this proven to be a good pump at a really good price.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
Like the headline suggest this is a great pump as long as you are not inflating road bike tires. At, or about, 70 psi the seal on the head starts to leak making it nearly impossible to get any higher. This is especially true for presta valve tires. Using an adapter and the Schrader head only made it leak slower.
As long as you are using this for just MTN bikes, I'd imagine you'd be happy with the pump.

I have had this pump for about 14 months. Yesterday it started leaking at the base of the pump. Even tightening the base didn't fix it. Save yourself buy something that is better quality and longer warranty.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
I purchased this pump as a shop pump to replace my ages old specialized pump that finally just wore out... so I use them a fair amount.
I got exactly 4 uses out of this pump and the valve would not pass air. It did not seal well on the Schrader stem, never got to try the presta...
FWIW, it took 60 pumps to get #45 in a 26 x 1.95 tire, which seems like a lot, but my old pump was really good.
I am returning it, as the valve will not allow any air to flow... I was suspicious of the plastic valve any way, but astounded to learn how short it's life really was.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
Could hardly get it to 110 - 120 psi, My wife can not get the pressure she needs independently (when she easily could with our old pump). Base was super wobbly and seriously worried my as to its long term life.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
The pump is very stable and seems easy to use however, I find it difficult to secure the pump to my schrader valve. Sometimes it the pump seems like it is going to bend the valve. I have attempted to pump up my tires at least three times and have not been able to add the correct amount of pressure. It could be that I'm a novice using this pump and type of valve, but I wish it were easier.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
For only [$], this floor pump does the job fine. Not sure why other pumps are more expensive or what extra features would be included with a more expensive model. This fits my Cannondale's Presta valve fine. I only bike recreationally and sometimes to commute to work, so don't need top-notch gear, but I have had no problems with this pump yet. Inflates very quickly, has a strong seal and doesn't leak. Dial is easy to read.

Comments about Serfas FP-55 Floor Pump:
I researched the bike pumps and was going to be a Topeak Joe Blow Pro which was not carried. The salesman said to be this cheapie because it was great and they couldn't keep it in stock. The one we have that has a valve leak works better than this. Returning it immediately.
