I finally got to use these during a 7-day trek around the Torres del Paine circuit in Chile. And wow, did they get a lot of use over 75 miles of walking and 25,000+ feet of uphill trekking. This helped stabilize me over boulders, tricky streams and bogs, and eventually carried a good part of my weight when my right knee decided to give out on me. Light, collapses to a compact size and very sturdy.
