Comments about REI Go Box Cooler - Medium:
I use this product a few times a week to pack lunch for work, and I use it all the time for travel and hiking. It's a great size -- fits into my backpacks and luggage with a remarkably compact "footprint" for what it can hold. It keeps food nice and cool for hours at a time. I recently went hiking in the Eilat mountains in Israel, and my foot stayed cold for hours in the desert. Add a small ice pack for best results. Highly recommended.

Comments about REI Go Box Cooler - Medium:
This is a very well made stylish cooler just a little short in depth. Could be perfect for a kids lunch with a small drink. But for an adult, in my opinion too tiny unless you pack nothing more then a sandwich and a few snacks (fruit or veggies cut up). May be fine if your just transporting it to the work fridge from home but no way your getting a beverage & a small ice pack in here. May be perfect for some situations but very limited due to depth of cooler.

Comments about REI Go Box Cooler - Medium:
Initially I bought 2 of these for my boys for school lunches. They look cool and aren't covered with obnoxious characters like most of the options out there. Unfortunately, they obviously were not designed by anyone who has ever packed a child's lunch for school. The depth was too thin. After searching [...] for containers that would fit in them, all I could find was a sandwich box and some tiny little containers to hold stuff like applesauce. Forget the ice pack - the smallest I could find would not fit with the food containers. If all you wanted was a sandwich in a zip-lock and some trail mix you would be OK. Large apples or oranges would not fit. Drinks would be a tough fit as well unless it's small and rectangular like a juice box. I suggest making all the sizes a little deeper and adding a few more color choices.

Comments about REI Go Box Cooler - Medium:
I used this for a recent trip to Las Vegas where the temperatures were well over 100 degrees. I am a diabetic and have to keep insulin with me and keep it cool (cannot get over 70 degrees). This cooler allowed me to do everything I wanted to with no worry! Kept my medicine cold and was small enough to not even notice carrying it. A fabulous solution to a pretty annoying problem.
