Comments about Reef Playa Negra Flip-Flops - Men's:

I thought these would be a great lower profile alternative to the Fannings, especially when I found them on [...] for half the REI price. I liked that the sole rubber seemed way more substantial than the Fannings, which I tend to wear out in a summer. Also liked the idea of the pebble-looking foot bed, and frankly these are some sweet looking sandals. However, after wearing these for a half day I am not too happy. They squeak like a mother if yer foot perspires at all. I have funky feet, no doubt, but never had a problem with the Fannings making any noise other than the traditional "flip-flop". I mean, my neighbors can prolly hear me walking down the hall. So unless I got a pair of lemons, I'd recommend leavin' these alone and going with a different Reef.
