I can't speak to the durability as I've only used it once [...]The first time I used it, our dog went sniffing in some bushes and it came off (good thing the light was on). That could have been my fault as I may not have fastened it on correctly. Nevertheless, like another reviewer said, it is difficult to turn on/off. I got lucky at the store turning it on and bought it. Since then, it's taken about five pushes each time for me to hit the button correctly. Also, I found a comparable light, with easier buttons, for a lot cheaper at a local pet store.

I got this to keep track of my black dog at night. It glows well and even when off is highly reflective. It goes onto her collar with little work. My only complaint is that the on/flash/off button is difficult to use. Most times I will have to press it about ten times before it works.

We attach one of these to each side of our dog's harness. She is a 65 lb lab. They attach easily, stay on and are the right size (about 7 in.) for her. With these she is very well lit at night so it's easy to keep track of her off leash and they provide good visibility for both of us when she is on leash. I get a lot of compliments on these and highly recommend them for safety if you walk at night with your dog. As mentioned in other reviews, the only down side I have found is that they can be a bit difficult to turn on and off.
