Comments about Deuter Futura Zero 50 Pack - '09 Closeout:
The Deuter Zero 50 has ample amount of space for most multi-day excursions. My first outing with it was a three day trip on the Appalachian trail through New Jersey. I was able to fit my clothes, 2/3 person tent, sleeping bag & pillow, MSR pot set, stove, food, water bottles and some miscellaneous supplies very easily. The pack has plenty of hooks to attach additional supplies to the outside as well, which I used to carry a small garden shovel.
The air comfort suspension is truly great and will keep you cool and dry. Compared to my hiking partner my back was relatively dry at the end of the day despite temperatures near 90*F.
The straps adjust to fit a wide range of body types, and with a little bit of fiddling I had it feeling very comfortable.
Only thing you'll need with this pack is a rain cover since it doesn't have one integrated in the design.
