Comments about Gerber Hail LED Flashlight:

What would have been an excellent single-AA light several years ago has with the passage of time been rendered obsolete, thanks to a dim and inefficient emitter. The 10-lumen beam is about what you would get with a throwaway discount bin light, or even a keychain light, but the build quality sets the Hail apart from them. A lanyard hole next to the tail switch is much-appreciated, but no lanyard is provided.

Like most other Gerber-branded products, I trust this light to function reliably, but given its obsolescence, it is suitable only for modest tasks like poking around the attic or walking around the block at night.
