Comments about The North Face Cooper's Hill Trail-Running Shoes - Men's - '09 Closeout:
I bought this shoe before the summer started and since then put them through hell. The shoes went with on mountain hikes every week, to summer camps, and trail runs. The bright webbing looses color and shape quickly but the unique toe support holds up and the sole is stiff to take those long and brutal trail runs. These shoes are rocks.

Comments about The North Face Cooper's Hill Trail-Running Shoes - Men's - '09 Closeout:
I bought these shoes at a great price as they were a closeout to take on a specific trip to Little River Canyon in NE Alabama. While they are designed for trails, I primarily used them to hike up and down the river.
The river is full of boulders that we used to hike up and down the river, crossing back and forth over primarily solid rock.
In two days of pretty much free running over slick rock, I only slipped once, and that was as it was starting to rain.
I did put a couple of miles in on some trails and have no complaints about these shoes at all.
I was concerned that I might develop blisters since I didn't bother to break the shoes in. The only time I'd even put them on my feet prior to the morning of the first hike was to try them on when they arrived at my house. However, I didn't develop a single hot spot.
The only negative I can give the shoes is that they are a little ugly, but since I wasn't out there for style, and don't intend to wear the shoes casually, that was not a consideration for me.
