Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boy-Cut Briefs - Women's:
Product packaging had no hint of what "sm", "m" or "l" might mean. I wear a 6-8, so figured would be safe with small, but these run really small. And expensive.

After spending day after day sweating immensely, these were a godsend. Cotton is of the devil! these stayed much dryer, dried faster, smelled much less, were very comfortable, AND I even washed them in the shower one night and they were dry the next morning! More than I ever thought I would pay for underwear, but these are awesome and I will be buying more!

Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boy-Cut Briefs - Women's:
Before I set out on a ten-month backpacking trip around Asia, I bought three different types of REI underwear, the Ex-Officio boy cut briefs, Patagonia active hipsters, and Lole bikini briefs (which don't appear to be on the website). The Ex-Officios were BY FAR my favorite, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a sturdy and useful pair of underwear for traveling. These dry amazingly quickly, even in the Bornean rainforest where nothing EVER dries. By far the quickest drying of the three brands I tried, which is a lifesaver when you are doing your laundry in the sink every few days. They are also very lightweight and breathable, which is especially great in hotter climates. I took them on two treks in Sikkim and Nepal, and they were great for hiking and camping. It is also no small feat that these babies held up for TEN MONTHS of almost constant wear-- they never tore or started to look shabby. These may not be the cutest underwear in the world, but they really get the job done. And lets face it, I would take function over cute any day.
My second favorite pair were the Patagonia Active Hipsters, which held up surprisingly well over the course of my trip. They didn't dry nearly as fast as the Ex-Officios, but they were better than cotton undies. They also look significantly cuter, and worked great as swimming suit bottoms in a pinch. The fabric is really nice, and holds up well, but like I said is not nearly as lightweight, breathable, or fast-drying as the Ex-Officios.
The Lole underwear I also bought, which are not on the REI website, were my least favorite by far. After only a few washes, they started to look really dingy and old, and one pair got a hole right in the crotch. They looked cute, and the fabric was really soft, but they didn't dry that fast, and were over all not too functional for traveling or camping.
Hope that helps!

I have been a faithful purchaser for the last 5 years and loved this underwear. They lasted a long time and held their shape. Unfortunately exofficio decided to cut some corners and keep the price the same. The elastic waistband is much thinner and less robust. The material is thinner. I can already see the wear after just half a dozen washings. I would have been willing to pay more if the quality was maintained. Too bad now I have to look elsewhere.

I'm updating a previous review that was actually for the older version of these without the elastic on the legs. That pair was amazing, these... Not very cute. Functionally, they are fine, but the older ones are cute, sexy and could be worn as a boy short swim bottoms. These look like briefs. Please bring back the flat seam legs!!!

I bought this and a couple other pairs of ex officio undies for a trip to Kauai. A previous reviewer was correct and they work well as bathing suit bottoms when I hiked to a beach. Also, like a previous reviewer stated, they are like mini-briefs (not boy shorts). They dry very well and are super comfortable (even when wet). Unfortunately, when I washed them in the sink, I was still having some odor problems. I used the travel soap (thin sheets) which could have been the problem, Dove soap bar which was better, and even liquid dish washing soap that was available at the B&B. I have had to wash them 2 or 3 times in order to get it to smell fresh again. Love these undies, but not as "odor free" as it claims (especially if you are active like hiking a lot).

Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boy-Cut Briefs - Women's:
Really, really great for travel and trail. I venture all over the world, so I'm often living out of my backpack or a suitcase. I bought a pair at my local REI and was so impressed that I decided to make them my official go-to undies for travel. They are easy to hand wash and dry quickly, even in tropical climates. They seem to resist odor more than most underwear and they also seem to wick away the sweat.
They work well in hot and cold weather and I like the full coverage since I wear a lot of summer dresses. This style seems to fit me perfectly - haven't really had any issues with panty lines. I also own the bikini briefs and those do not fit as well on my body. I would recommend trying at least a couple different styles to find the right one for you. Believe me, it is worth it.
One more nugget for you - I've used a black pair as an impromptu bathing suit bottom. They worked well and no one seemed to notice they were underwear. If someone looked closely, perhaps they would have, but as long as you're not parading around in them, you'll be ok. They dried off rather well when I ran the towel over them, so I wasn't walking around with wet shorts the rest of the day.

These are the most comfortable underwear I have ever worn. I have never experienced any riding, bunching, pinching or panty lines. I wear these working out, hiking, camping and with everyday casual wear. They keep you cool and dry.

I purchased these on sale online and my only regret is that I didn't buy more at the sale price! I love the fit, they are cute and never ride up on me. I often buy other boy shorts a size up for comfort, but my usual medium fit me well. I'm just waiting until these are on sale to stock up on more. Wish they had more colors...

Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boy-Cut Briefs - Women's:
I own several pairs of the boy shorts from a year or so ago, and love them. These? Not so much. The elastic around the leg is awful. You might as well just buy the full-cut briefs - that's pretty much what you're getting here. These create terrible panty lines and hit in all the wrong spots around the top of my leg, making them both uncomfortable and unattractive. Terrible, terrible decision to add elastic rather than sticking with the flat seam.
