Comments about Leki Diva Antishock Women's Trekking Poles - Pair - '08 Closeout:
I had never used trekking poles before, but read quite a lot about their benefits. I had planned a trip to Zion and Bryce National Parks and so bought these poles to help my knees out. Before going on the trip, I practiced with them on my daily dog walks in the field behind my house. I have cut several trails up and down hills and these poles have helped me with energy, knee problems, and strength. I first felt the muscles in my arms and my sides getting stronger. I used them in Zion and Bryce and could not have done the hiking that I did without them. The ONLY problem I have is once in a while I have a little trouble getting them to tighten after readjusting them from compact to use length. I now use them every day on my walks, it is a better workout, I even used one yesterday to toss a snake off the trail! I only rated them a 4 because I don't have anything to compare them to. The photo is of one of my friends who also bought a pair for this trip.
