Comments about Victorinox Explorer Swiss Army Knife with Pouch:
It's a pretty good everyday multi-tool if you don't need a plier. It's much lighter than a Leatherman. The blade is thin and doesn't stay sharp long, but it's easy to sharpen razor sharp. Would be nice if the the outer frame was aluminum instead of plastic.

Comments about Victorinox Explorer Swiss Army Knife with Pouch:
I have carried a swiss army knife of one form or another since I was 10 years old, and so far the Explorer is the one I like the best. The magnifying glass and tweezers have helped me out with small cactis spines, and the scissors are useful for just about everything. The phillips screwdriver tip is made to fit large and small phillips screws, and is not set to fold out 90 degrees to the handle like many other models, making it much more functional. Size-wise, it's a little bulky in the pocket, but not so much that it's uncomfortable. I've used the can opener to open cans of tuna, and the large blade for everything from slicing salami to cleaning trout. I pretty much don't go anywhere without it.

Comments about Victorinox Explorer Swiss Army Knife with Pouch:
I have been carrying the Explorer for 30 years. Before that I carried a Tinker. I use it practically everyday for one thing or another, and have used all the features more than once.
What makes this the best choice of all the SAK pocketknives is the phillips screwdriver, folding out of the end the way it does. (On the Tinker and Super Tinker it folds out at the center, which makes it very awkward to use.) This is one feature that is especially handy, since when you need to tighten a phillips head screw almost nothing else will work.
The scissors is also very useful. It's one thing that gets used a lot more than you might expect. Eventually the spring will wear out, but it is easily replaced.
The sheath is very well designed, durable and functional. Before I started using a sheath I noticed that my pants pockets would eventually wear out as a result of carrying the knife everywhere. (Try to remember to pack it away before you pass through airport security.)
A handy add-on accessory is the eyeglass screwdriver that cleverly screws onto the corkscrew.
Just being aware of the multi-function capabilities of this one convenient tool greatly reduces life's limitations. I could not get by without it. In fact, I keep a spare so that in case I lose one I will not have to go without.
