The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
Have used this out in pouring rain, and so far so good. Lightweight, but never feels clammy. As good or better, in my mind, than the Marmot Precip rain pants. I also like having front pockets.
A good choice at this price point and if you're not going to spring for the expensive GoreTex options.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I really like these pants but found them slightly difficult to get on/off over large backpacking boots. I wear a size 13 so I usually have problems with a 9 inch ankle zipper. Otherwise I think these are a great pant.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I use these pants constantly. During a month long AT section hike over the summer, these kept me dry except for the sweat. These pants aren't very breathable, but what do you expect wearing rain gear in the summer? Just today when I wore them to and from class in the rain, I got rooster-tailed by a car driving through a mud puddle and stayed completely dry. They also pack really well. Highly recommended.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
This pant is awesome. Don't buy the Marmot or Helley Hanson rain pants, their material is not as strong as these. I went in REI yesterday, picked three of these out, tried on two, and was happy with the fit. It rained today and of course the pants held up great. It's a nice black color that goes with anything. I liked them so much I bought a pair for my wife too!

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I use these pants for summer riding in Ireland and they work great for short periods of time when the rain comes down in buckets. Being lightweight I always take them with me on day trips. I had to wear them on a 70km trip in Roscommon and they were comfortable, but they do not breathe that well. For longer multi-day excursions you might look for something else. But for the price and the weight, they are grand for day trips when used with gaiters and a rain jacket to keep dry.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I bought these for a backpacking trip, and now keep them in the truck, just in case. They stow away in a stuff sack about the size of a soda can.
Today I pulled them over my jeans to take my kids out sledding - they worked perfectly!

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
This was a gift for husband, he has not voiced any complaints, so far used to break wind. they provide no warmth so layer.
I recieved a pair as a gift,(ladies small) they are ample large enough to fit over jeans (5'3", 121 lbs.)to break the wind while walking to work. If it is colder than 30°they need to have another pair of warm pants(other than jeans) underneath. they are great at breaking the wind, have not been exposed to rain yet.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
Wore them once to give them a try. Good fit, comfotable, breath well enough to keep you reasonably dry. They roll up small enough to fit in my back pack. Best of all, since they've been in my bag it hasn't rained at all!

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
These pants survived my adventures in Africa, including crawling deep in a gold mine. I am amazed.
Then I wore them for more than half of my time traveling Europe, because it rained so often. I can't believe how durable they are, and still waterproof. I wore them one day in a torrential downpour, along with my Arcteryx jacket and waterproof boots, and I stayed completely dry.
