Comments about NiteRider MiNewt.400 LED Dual Bike Light:
As a daily commuter in Seattle this light is a key to my travel! During the winter months of nighttime riding I am EASILY able to see at speed with this setup. I have met only 1 cyclist with a brighter light (niterider as well). I love the dual light option so I can spread out the beam a bit since it's already bright. I have the 2008 model, so the new one is even brighter I'm sure.
If I had one complaint - its the mount - it works great, but its SO easy to take off, that I worry about my lights being stolen since they are so good and not so inexpensive.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt.400 LED Dual Bike Light:
I have the 2006 version of this light system and really liked it. Fast charging, easy to put on the handle bars, zero problems. Bought the new one for a new bike and wow are they wicked bright! The low power setting on the new one is seriously brighter than the high power setting on the old version. This is a serious light system. Highly recommended.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt.400 LED Dual Bike Light:
I'm a daily (or nightly) commuter in Seattle. I used a couple of other lights, but now that it's dark for my commute, I got serious and stepped up to the 400. I like the flexibility of aiming the lights independently, so I can shine them where I want them. 400 lumens is seriously bright, and I've had cars flash their high beams at me. You actually need to be a little careful not to blind oncoming cars or pedestrians. I use flash mode when I'm in traffic, and I really enjoy seeing stop signs light up 3 blocks away. I think being visible is the key to riding in traffic at night, and these babies really deliver. They're easy on and off, so they're easy to tuck away when I get to work. Intelligent charging means I can leave them connected all night with no worries. The battery/controller is easy to mount on your head tube or stem, so you can control the high/low/flashing action. I love these lights, and I wish they made a 200 or 400 lumen taillight, but I'll use my Dinotte 140 until they do. I had a question and wanted a part, and the Niterider customer support was very responsive.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt.400 LED Dual Bike Light:
This is a powerful light set that outshines my Light & Motion Arc HID headlight and my MiNewt.X2 headlight. I was impressed how white the light output is regardless if the setting is on low or high, whereas the MiNewt.X2 light shines more on the blue side. The light pattern is beautifully dispersed and the simple O-ring mounting is tight and secure. Definitely the best light in the price range.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt.400 LED Dual Bike Light:
A very nice light (lightweight, terrific beam, good looking on handlebars). Everything great except the battery time (only 1 hour 45 mins). Battery warning indicator comes on at 1 hour and 15 mins. Which usually means, as soon as you climb the hill, you have come down like a madman before your battery dies.
I am harsh on the grading for this item.
After all, no battery no light!
Come on NR. You guys can make a 3 cell lithium ion battery for longer life! Why don't you?

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt.400 LED Dual Bike Light:
I just bought the NiteRider MiNewt Dual 400 Lite. I really like the system, EXCEPT, the battery life is short and/or sensitive. If I ride for an hour or so, on the low setting, and shut it off, many times I cannot start it again. Is this a problem that others have experienced? Has anyone compared with the Light & Motion Seca 700 or 900? I realize the price difference between the two are significant. But so are the specs. 3.5 Run Time for the Seca 900 vs. 1.7 for the NiteRider MiNewt Dual 400 Lite.
