Comments about Zefal Discovery Rear Bike Rack - '09 Overstock:
This rack is made for bikes that have attachment points on the frame for a rack. It is adjustable to fit many sizes of bikes, assuming you have these attachment points. It's not lightweight, but it is very secure on the bike and the spring-clip to hold items appears very strong.
A few negative points I would like buyers to know. Unlike as stated in the product information, there is no "mounting hardware," it only comes with the pieces for the frame itself. I had interpreted this as that it would come with screws for mounting to the bike frame, but it does not come with these. Also, it does not come with a rear reflector and although there are holes to attach one, the reflector that came with my particular bike does not fit onto the rack. Overall, for the price I think this cannot be beat, just be aware that you will need to provide your own screws, reflector, and some patience!

Comments about Zefal Discovery Rear Bike Rack - '09 Overstock:
I bought this to put onto my city bike. It's really well constructed and looks very durable.
However, the bottoms legs that connect to the bike are substantially wider than most other racks, leaving it hard to install onto bikes with bolts that are not long enough for this over-engineered bottom mount. Since trying to find the right size bolt for bikes isn't easy, I ended up returning it. It's too bad... otherwise this item is really well made.

Comments about Zefal Discovery Rear Bike Rack - '09 Overstock:
It's a sturdy rack. The price is decent. But it is a beast to put on, and it is really cheap not to include a little more hardware. How expensive can a few more bolts really be? If you don't have spare hardware in your collection of odds and ends you cannot install it out-of-the-box. I think that is tacky. If you are not good at jiggering with very ornery parts, don't buy this! And it probably will not be coming off easily.
If you do buy this (since the price is nice, and it does look like it will carry its weight easily) lube everything with oil including the rack itself. Nothing seemed designed to fit easily with anything else on the one I got. And if I take it off for any reason, it probably will be just as hard to get back on.
