This is my first camelbak. I was skeptical about the idea of using reservoir but decided to give it a try as it's on sale. It turns out to be a good decision.
This pack fits me better than other backpacks that I tried on. (I'm 5 feet 4) Weight is evenly distributed and I don't feel the 2-liter water plus gears on my back. The waist strap helps to keep weight stays above my hip. The straps are too long for me in general but you can always roll them up.
I keep sipping water little by little on trail whenever I feel thirsty. (vs. a water break and swallow down 1/4 liter at once) I used it on a short hike (5-6 miles) with cool weather to test it out. I had roughly little less than a liter of water left in the reservoir at the end.
The reservoir is easy to fill but it's a bit hard to dry it out. Need some practice.
This pack has sufficient space to put another liter of water, a pocho, a thin sweater, snack, first aid kit, etc, etc.

I have used this pack for short hikes (1-1 1/2 hours). The water reservoir has it's own pocket that zips up in the back, so it is very easy to slip out. The water pack works great and keeps the water cool, even without ice.
The size is perfect. Fits snug and doesn't move around. It is very light. It could fit a couple lunches in the main compartment. The front pocket has pen holders and a two small pockets and a headphone opening.
I thought that the pack would be big from the picture, but it is not. I was going to get the High Sierra one, but decided on this, since it is a Camelbak. I'm very glad I did, the High Sierra pack would have been too small for me.
