    I bought these as a "around town" stylish fingerless mittens and they are perfect for that (I live in a small mountain community). I have small (not tiny) hands and the small is a bit big, but not so much that it bothers me. I have a plethora of gloves and mittens for backpacking and skiing, but really wanted something colorful for every day use. These are wool which will keep you warm when wet but are not itchy at all.
