The Sorel Intrepid Expedition boots are built for exploration in the extreme cold and were inspired by the Yukon Quest sled dog race, boasting a comfort-rating down to -100°F.

  • Polyurethane-backed nylon uppers offer superior protection against the elements; seam-sealed construction ensures waterproof performance
  • Rubber slush guards protect shell uppers and aid in keeping feet dry
  • Web lacing system and ripstop nylon gaiters provide structure and protection; collar barrel locks keep snow out
  • Removable 13mm ThermoPlus® felt InnerBoots feature a stretch front shaft for a comfortable fit; seams and heel area are reinforced for greater longevity
  • InnerBoots have removable, molded EVA footbeds and 12mm EVA midsoles for cushioning and shock absorption
  • Multiple insulating layers create a barrier between feet and frozen ground; 13mm Sorel Meltdown Midsole™ in shell is removable if not wanted
  • Lightweight fiberglass shanks provide torsional stability while also helping prevent heat loss through conduction
  • Molded rubber outsoles maintain flexibility and bite in extreme cold
  • Lugs and high surface area grooves on outsoles provide versatile traction in snow and slush
