This has to be one of my best travel investments, ever. It cost 3x as much as my prior wheeled carry-on but is about 100x better! I travel a lot - over 25,000 miles this year, with 72 days away so far - and this bag makes my life on the road a lot better.

The capacity is much larger than I would have imagined; I can travel for a week with this carry-on bag. It actually holds so much more than my prior luggage that I often use it as a checked bag, and bought a smaller Osprey Slipstream 18 for shorter 2-3 day trips. The internal compression straps are simply brilliant, and the arrangement of pockets - especially the top-loading liquids pocket - is really efficient. Counting both internal and external zippered pockets, there are a total of 8 pockets!

It fits fine in overheads for large planes, but gets gate-checked for all small regional flights (which is normal for any regulation-sized wheeled carry-on). The handle pulls out smoothly and reliably, a common point of failure on other cheaper bags. The side handle is actually structurally sound (again, unlike cheaper bags) so you can easily lift the bag using the top handle, the bottom chassis, or the side handle. The handles are also solidly constructed, well padded, and comfortable on the hands.

I was delighted to find that the wheels are really quiet and easy rolling; this bag won't make a hideous clatter as you pull it across tiled airport floors or European cobblestone sidewalks. The orange color is easy to spot on a luggage carousel if you do check it, which I've done frequently; after a year of heavy use, I see little evidence of all the abuse of airport baggage handling that is tearing my larger checked bag to shreds.

I purchased this bag because it's 2 to 3 lbs lighter than other bags I own or was considering buying. It has more than lived up to expectations. I thought it would hold a reasonable amount of stuff but something about the design swallows at least 1/3 more than a bag of similar dimensions that I own. So it's easy to pack, easy to lift up to overhead bins, holds a lot, really well-made.

This bag is awesome! It holds enough for at least a week, it has neat features, and it stowes easily in the overhead. Light weight and easy to carry. The wheels are probably the best feature traversing snow parking lots and commuter tarmacs. Great bag!

I. Love. This. Bag. I travel all over the world and this bag has come with me. Always fits in the overhead, holds a TON of clothing. Has a light frame. The wheels are bomber -- easy access on all terrains (including cobblestone in Europe!!). GREAT, great bag. Buy it. You won't regret it.

Like other Osprey items that I own, the design is outstanding. You wouldn't think a carry-on matters that much, but this bag really makes air travel that much easier. The rolling is just great, and the size is perfect for carry-on on your typical Southwest domestic flight. Great bag, great warranty, and from REI... Congrats on great design, Osprey!

I bought this luggage for long weekend trips, and something I could stow easily in the overhead on airplanes. It really has quite a bit of room (you'd be surprised how much you can pack in), is lightweight, very durable, has a cool design and glides quietly through the airport. Awesome luggage!
