Good solid knife with an excellent price point. Very well made which is solid.
Out of the box the knife is extremely sharp. All blades and tools are easy to extract and put away. I also like the balance that the knife has.

I destroyed my car seating from always using knives with clips and got really fed up so I got this pocket knife. I have had other swiis army knifes and pretty much like them. I don't like that they make all their knifes for right handed people. this one is too tight opening and closing. The bladeis too thin at the tip, and the metal is flaring out and bendeing near the tip. I really did not want a full serrated blade but it's ok, wish it was a tanto blade. The thing I hate the most is, the phillips in the middle,put it on the end!! Like the bottle opener, don't need a reamer, put a small blade instead. Very sharp, cut my finger, because it is for right handers and too tight. I don't like junk, this one is ok but could be better. feels pretty good in the hand and not too heavy or bulky.

This is a very useful tool for just about everything. It is my first swiss army knife and I am more than pleased with the functions. It is very versatile. I haven't been able to test every single function on it yet. THe craftmanship is very nice though.

Knife is a little larger than the classic red-colored Victorinox knives. Locking mechanism is very solid. Bought it to use the small saw to clear small brush from a seldom-used trail. Works very well for trimming the branches of bushes that have overgrown into a trail. The other tools have the usual uses.

I use this knife for casual and outdoor uses and so far it has preformed better than expected, what I like about it is that out can cut through the tough plastic that is hard to open, even with scissors. one problem is that it is a little rough when you are opening it but after a while you hardly notice itit.

This knife is an excellent utility knife when camping. Its great for cutting wood and an assortment of other functions. The only thing I don't like about it is that its a little big and heavy. As a backpacker, I would love to find a knife that's just as functional, but a little lighter. Still, it is a great knife for car camping and the BWCA. I'm glad I got it!

This is a great knife for a backpacker. It has a large useful blade, saw, bottle openers, screwdriver (flat and Phillips), and the punch. The blade is serrated at the front and smooth near the handle (backwards from most knives, but makes more sense). This is the exact same knife as the Swiss Army Trekker, except for the rubber grips in the handle, which don't feel any different than the trekker as well as the color (Trekker is black).

the Soldier Knife does not come in a non-serrated version, but the Trekker comes in both serrated and non-serrated, so if you want a smooth blade, go with the trekker. Otherwise, this is just about the perfect back country knife, in my opinion.

I have owned the Camper and Climber versions of the traditional swiss army knives. I still use them to this day. Camping, Packing or traveling, I use these tools no less that 10 times per day, it never leaves my pocket. Still the traditional knives work best for urban travel and light hiking, but this new style has many practical improvments. First, the grip is far better and larger. this is important for heavy cutting and food prep. Second, It includes a beefy Philips screwdriver,; Nice quality. The larger grip makes the saw far mor practical for cutting wood, rope, nylon. Finally although it only has one large serrated blade, The blade locks and can be opened and operated with one hand. Very useful for climbing. This thing is more of a knife and less of an all-in-one. Cons: no cork-screw or scissors. Thats why my traditional knife stays at camp but this one travels with me. Get it, have it for life.
