Comments about Crumpler Hee-Goer Computer Messenger Bag - '08 Closeout:
I have looked high and low for a good messenger-type laptop bag and this is certainly not it. My 15-in. laptop fits quite perfectly in this bag and is well protected, but it's not quite roomy enough for a change of clothes and lunch. I did manage to fit my hand pump in the bottom, but despite ALL small the pockets, it's hard to keep some tools, a spare tube, etc, w/o the small compartment intruding into part of the main compartment space.
The over-the-shoulder strap is fine and the padding is nice and cushy, but the additional small securing-across-your-body strap clicks behind you on the left side making it incredibly difficult to clip once you've adjusted the length of main shoulder strap. I had to unnaturally arch my arm backwards to reach it and this strap is not long at all as opposed to the shoulder strap that is EXCEEDINGLY long. Not only that, but after adjusting these straps, the bag still shifted around while riding, Bummer...
Another con is the material. I thought that this was WATERPROOF as I ride in the rain & snow. Well, I was actually only walking home in the rain and some of the items in the bag got wet and even after removing them, the exterior of the bag dried overnight, but the interior stayed damp!!?
Anyhow, if you are not riding a bike, this bag would work fine, otherwise, look elsewhere for a laptop messenger bag.
