Comments about Therm-a-Rest Tech Blanket - Regular:
Note: I'm only 5'5" but I ended up swapping the Regular size for the Large tech blanket, because in a cold snap/cooler evening I wanted to be able to pull the blanket up over my head.
Overall, the design of the tech blanket is good. The nylon finish feels like a sleeping bag, no better no worse. The interior side would be more comfortable if it had a different finish, since nylon isn't that comfortable against the skin in warm, humid weather. I thought that the loft was perfect for a summer cover, and coupled with a sleep sack to manage moisture I was very comfortable on a recent multiday trip with nighttime temps in the mid 50's, with high humidity. I'm certain I would have been warm enough without the sleep sack, but it helped with the humidity. The blanket packs into itself pretty compactly, but you could compress it further with a small stuff sack to pack most efficiently.
I also picked up the therm-a-rest sleep sheet to go with my mat, and this couples nicely with it. If you're backpacking, you may be able to find a blanket with a better weight-to-warmth ratio, but the price is right and I enjoyed using this blanket for casual camping.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Tech Blanket - Regular:
I matched up the blanket with the sheet. It worked very well for the warmer climate and packs up in a small pocket. Only problem is that the blanket had a broken snap(Nipple broke off). Exchanged it for another one and it had several snaps broken. Great tech blanket if you don't need to use the snaps.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Tech Blanket - Regular:
I am 5'10", 180 lbs and found the Regular size to be too small for my liking. Width was fine as a throw quilt but too short in length. For an adult male I would only recommend the Large size. I would say that the Tech Blanket is very compatible to the GI poncho liner, the venerated 'Woobie'. A little thicker but it will pack smaller. It can be used as part of a back country sleep system but the range is at best a windless 50 degrees without adding layers. My primary use is indoors. It will keep you warm when its cold and keep you comfortable when its hot. Pack-ability is a strong point for its temp rating and takes the guessing out of how comfortable you will be when staying overnight at the relatives. When driving to destinations its fought over by everyone as a blanket or pillow (when packed).Coupled with the fitted sheet and the neoair mattress (both therm-a-rest), you can sleep anywhere, anytime in comfort with very little space used in your luggage. My only con is price. At this time a Large tech blanket is approx. [$]. A Woobie is half the cost. If the price was $40 I think the price point open up their demographic.
